1ST DAY OF SCHOOL - 11 JANUARY 2006
It’s raining!! Did I buy raincoats??
Littlies all gone to Nursery School. Pontsho has a cough. Give her muti, wrap her
up warm, she can’t be sick, not today, definitely not today!!
Breakfast BEFORE they get dressed. Can’t spill anything today, definitely not today!!
Teeth brushed, stationary at door, new lunch boxes shining, juice bottles, fresh
fruit juices and healthy little munchies, no peanut butter sandwiches today definitely
not today!!
They’re nearly dressed. Rhys is snapping away like a wedding photographer, (definitely
got batteries and they’re charged, checked last night, any problem can use Jane’s
for backup!), Jane keeps asking if I’m sure they have everything, of course I’m
not sure, won't be sure until they ask for something I haven’t got!
Porsche sneezes, open new bag, take out new tissues. Better make them a sticker
each for collars, just in case ... It’s 7:30, have to be in the Hall by 8:00, I’m
paralyzed. I can do this, Rain causes gate motor to stop, please God, not today,
definitely not today!! Rhys comes up with some genius plan, WE’RE ON OUR WAY!!
We’ve done the TRIAL run, we know where IT is but ...
Try not to make them nervous, don’t even dare ask (again) their names, address,
telephone, I.D. numbers, Jane’s cell, Rhys’ cell, Stephens cell, just in case ...
Stickers were a good idea. Lesedi is nervous, he is going a light shade of grey.
Porsche is up for it and is already checking out a possible friend! Porsche's name
was called to go in the first class. Lesedi was called to go in the last class.
The deed is done.
Double parked, have to go!
They look lovely, have everything they need. I’m SO proud of them and all the hearts
